Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
